Hi all,

 But it all changed when config.py, routes.py and models.py entered now nothing is being imported into app.py and there has been only circular imports in everything and app is breaking again and again.
 Can I really not write code in multiple files?

How to make animated video shorts?

Instead of tapping into the API of a third-party accounting platform, I always built my own. I have a background in finance and accounting, so building an accounting module from the ground up (with a complete double-entry debits/credits backbone) along with all the standard (and non-standard) financial reporting wasn&#39;t daunting, but quite enjoyable. I&#39;m currently working on a couple of new platforms that, again, need accounting modules. My plan is to build a separate, stand alone, &quot;accounting&quot; app in Django, and include that app into my two new platforms instead of building a separate accounting app in each platform. Hey Folks - I've built a number of custom ERP-type platforms, all of which required a complete accounting solution built in. Instead of tapping into the API of a third-party accounting platform, I always built my own. I have a background in finance and accounting, so building an accounting module from the ground up (with a complete double-entry debits/credits backbone) along with all the standard (and non-standard) financial reporting wasn't daunting, but quite enjoyable.
 I'm currently working on a couple of new platforms that, again, need accounting modules.
 My plan is to build a separate, stand alone, "accounting" app in Django, and include that app into my two new platforms instead of building a separate accounting app in each platform.
 It got me thinking - are there others out there who might benefit from an accounting app for their own dev needs? If so, what would you want to see as options for this app? Are there specific accounting needs you would want solved in this app?

Need for an Accounting App?

<div class="md">For context, I am starting a end-of-term project and I intend make the app&#39;s API REST-style, not the usual Django MVT-style. The front-end will be done in ReactJS and the back-end will only be provided as endpoints for React server to make requests to. I am torn, however, whether to use Flask or Django for the back-end. On one hand, Django simplifies matters a lot, as you don&#39;t have to write SQL queries manually. On top of that, AFAIK Django, rather than Flask, is the technology that is usually used in real production*. On the other hand, however, I am afraid that might be an overkill, as the project is not really big or complicated. What&#39;s more, unless I&#39;m much mistaken, MVT is the intended model for Django apps and I&#39;m not sure whether it makes sense to use this technology for other models. I know that a similiar question has been asked here, but the OP was more focused on whether it&#39;s *possible* at all, and I&#39;d like to know whether it is *advised* and/or &quot;clean&quot; to use Django over Flask in this situation. Looking for 1–2 people to read Django for Professionals together

<div class="md">I have been a lifelong Django lover—since before the 1.0 release even. I am actually from the Lawrence area (edit to say Lawrence Kansas where Django was born) and have worked with some of the original developers via a local employer. I bet it&#39;s been about two decades! Which is to say, it&#39;s my goto. My last couple of jobs have leaned into FastAPI and Flask and I found these to be much less fun to work with. Every team I work on with those tools slowly seems to build all the stuff Django comes with. I would love to get back into a job working with Django specifically as occupationally I miss it. For my personal projects I&#39;ve been using Django + Tailwind + HTMX &amp; _hyperscript and have straight up LOVED it. It has made web development fun again for me. I faded into backend work for a long time because I just didn&#39;t find working with React/Vue/Angular fun. What I have noticed is that even actively searching, I am having a hard time finding Django shops that are hiring. Normally emploment for me has come via my professional network but since my last gigs have been backend roles I think the Django side of my network has undergone attrition. Learning python and django, looking for project ideas and career guidance

<div class="md">Hello community, so i have ubuntu installed in my virtual box and i created a django project there but when i enter the url path it is not detecting any app level&#39;s urls but when i enter shell and import <a href="http://urls.py">urls.py</a> and <a href="http://views.py">views.py</a> it gets imported without any error. what might be the issue?? note : it doesn&#39;t have any typo error and i have included the app&#39;s url in the root too.  All three patterns use FastAPI's Depends() so it feels native. 
 Out of the box:
  
Connection pooling with configurable size
 Retry logic with exponential backoff
 Health checks
 Graceful degradation if Redis unavailable
  
Type safety with generics. CacheService[User] enforces return type.
